Cupping generally leaves a pink-reddish to dull purplish marks depending on the severity of your muscle tension. In Chinese, this is called "Sha", meaning small rashes for toxins to escape. You may feel quite sore in the first 1-2 days after cupping, much like after a deep tissue massage. However, the soreness is not extreme and won't affect your everyday tasks. It is all a process of promoting blood circulation and detoxing.
How long does cupping marks last for?
Generally cupping marks will disappear within 4-5 days. If the marks are deeper in colour or if you are prone to bruising, then it can take up to 7-10 days to disappear.
